How No-Code Helped Me Escape My 9–5 and Earn $10,000 in Less Than a Year
·3 min read
For years, I was a 9–5 worker, stuck in a routine that felt safe but creatively stifling. It wasn’t all bad — my job taught me resilience, discipline, and problem-solving. But deep down, I knew I wanted more. I craved freedom and a chance to create without limits.
That dream seemed distant until I stumbled into the world of no code.
Struggling to Find My Path
My first step into no-code was with Webflow. Everyone talked about how powerful it was, so I dove in with excitement. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t figure it out. Each failed attempt chipped away at my confidence, leaving me frustrated and stuck.
I’ve always hated not being able to figure things out — it drags me down and makes me question myself. So, I retreated to what I knew best: branding and graphic design. Tools like Figma, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW became my comfort zone as I focused on creating logos, social media graphics, and other visuals.
For a while, I convinced myself that was enough. But the itch to do more never really went away.
Rediscovering Hope
My breakthrough came when I discovered Glide, my first no-code success story. It showed me I could build real, functional apps without writing a single line of code. It was the spark I needed.
From Glide, I ventured into other tools and eventually landed on Framer. That’s where everything changed.
Framer felt intuitive in a way Webflow never did. Its seamless connection to Figma made it easy for someone like me, who was already comfortable with design, to start creating websites. For the first time, I felt empowered instead of defeated. I could bring ideas to life faster than ever — and actually enjoy the process.
Leaving My 9–5 and Earning $10,000
Armed with these no-code tools, I leaped. Leaving my 9–5 wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. In less than a year, I earned over $10,000 — a number that felt impossible back when I was stuck in my old routine.
I made this money by selling Framer templates on platforms like Lemosquezzy and the Framer Template Marketplace, freelancing for businesses, and offering digital products.
Now, I know $10,000 might not seem like much compared to what some creators or tech pros make. People are earning 100 times that every day. But for me, it’s a milestone. It’s proof that this path is worth pursuing. And it’s only the beginning.
Why My 9–5 Still Matters
I don’t regret my time in a traditional job. Those years shaped me in ways that I didn’t fully appreciate until now. They taught me how to tackle problems head-on, how to stay focused under pressure, and how to build structure into my day — all skills that serve me well in my no-code journey.
The difference now is that I’m solving problems for myself and others, not just for a company. And that makes all the difference.
Framer: The Tool That Changed Everything
Discovering Framer was like finding the missing piece of a puzzle. It brought together design and development in a way that made sense to me. It allowed me to create stunning, functional websites without code, faster than I ever thought possible.
If you’re on the fence about no-code, give Framer a try. It might just change everything for you, too.
